Stay on the free plan if Muse’s limit covers the jobs you actually run. Move to a paid plan when you hit that limit often and would rather pay than wait. The paid plans do not unlock a secret version of Muse. They raise the weekly allowance.
Prices and token counts below are the onesMeta publishes. Your upgrade screen can differ by region and account, and it is the list that applies to you.
The three options
- Free. Muse itself, with a usage limit. Meta does not publish that free allowance as a fixed token number. When you reach it, you wait for the refresh or you upgrade. Chat, tasks, reminders, and files are part of this plan until the limit stops you.
- Power, $20 a month. 500 million Muse tokens each week. It renews monthly until you cancel.
- Maximum, $100 a month. 3 billion Muse tokens each week. Same monthly renewal.
Both paid plans are sold in the mobile app and at muse.ai. You have to be in a country where Muse is offered, be 18 or the age of majority, sign in with a Meta account, and accept Meta’s subscription terms. Meta’s Muse page currently places that country list at the US and Canada.
Who each one fits
Free is the right start. Use it for questions, a reminder, a summary, and the occasional file. If you can finish a normal day without seeing the limit, paying does not buy you a smarter Muse. It buys more room.
Power is the step up when the free limit interrupts work you would have continued. Five hundred million tokens a week is a large published allowance. It is still a cap. A person who lives in Muse all day, with connectors and long files, can outgrow it.
Maximum is the largest published weekly allowance, at five times the price of Power. It makes sense only if Power’s week is regularly used up. It does not remove the rule that you approve anything Muse sends, publishes, or spends.
How to upgrade, and how to leave
- Open Muse and sign in.
- On the phone: Menu in the top left, then Settings. On the web: Menu in the bottom left, then Settings.
- Under Usage, choose Upgrade.
- Pick Power or Maximum and continue to payment.
- Wait for the notice that the subscription is active.
Cancel or change the card on the same platform, device type, and account where you paid.Subscribe to Muse is Meta’s walkthrough of that rule. A plan bought on an iPhone is not cancelled from a desktop bookmark of a different store.
What paying does not do
- It does not open Muse in a country Meta has not launched.
- It does not replace a Meta account.
- It is not an invite code. Codes on this site are a separate offer, explained in the token guide.
- It does not make Muse unable to be wrong. Meta still says to watch what it does.
If the choice feels muddy
- You have not hit a limit yet. Stay free. Decide after you have used it for real work.
- The prices in the app are not these prices. Use the app. Meta says the benefits shown during signup are the ones for your account.
- You subscribed and the allowance looks unchanged. Confirm the purchase notice, then reopen Usage. A rejected payment will not raise the week.
- You want to stop. Cancel where you bought it, before the next monthly date if you do not want another charge. The help article says you are billed on that same date each month.
Questions before you pay
Is there a free trial of Power or Maximum?
Meta’s subscription article does not describe a free trial of those plans. The free product is the usage-limited Muse you already have.
Can I switch from Power to Maximum later?
You manage the subscription where you bought it. The help article says you can view details, update payment, or cancel. Use that screen for a plan change rather than buying a second subscription on another device.
Do both plans include the same features?
Meta describes the difference as weekly usage. It does not publish a feature that exists only on Maximum. If your account shows extra benefits, they appear before you subscribe.
Does this website take the payment?
No. Payment goes to Meta, through the app or muse.ai.
