A Muse token is a unit of usage. On a paid plan, Meta gives you a weekly pile of them. Heavier work uses the pile faster. When the week’s allowance is gone, you wait for it to refresh or you move to a larger plan.
That weekly allowance is not the same thing as an invite-code reward. Mixing the two up is the usual reason a token number on the internet does not match what Muse shows you.
What Meta actually publishes
About Muse subscriptions lists two paid allowances:
- Power, $20 a month, 500 million Muse tokens each week.
- Maximum, $100 a month, 3 billion Muse tokens each week.
The free plan has a usage limit too. Meta’s help says so, and it does not publish the free allowance as a fixed public number. Your Usage screen is the number that applies to you. Benefits can also differ by region and account, and the upgrade screen shows the ones you can buy before you pay.
Plans renew monthly, on the date you first subscribed, until you cancel. The weekly token figure is the usage cap inside that month. It is not a second bill.
Where to look
- Open Muse.
- On the phone, tap Menu in the top left, then Settings. On the web, Menu is at the bottom left, then Settings.
- Read the Usage section. Upgrade is directly under it if you want a paid plan.
Those steps are in Subscribe to Muse. This website cannot see your balance, and it cannot add plan tokens.
Invite-code tokens are a different offer
This directory has its own offer, separate from Power and Maximum. Each code can be redeemed by up to 31 people. When Muse accepts a redemption, both the new person and the person who shared the code receive 1 billion Muse tokens.
Muse decides whether a code is accepted. A full code, an ineligible account, or a change in Muse can mean no tokens. Copying a code on this site only counts the copy. It does not mean Muse accepted it. Pasting your own code into your own redeem field does not pay you the reward. The steps are in how to redeem an invite code.
What uses the allowance
Meta does not publish a price list that says “one summary costs this many tokens.” Longer tasks, files, and connected-app work are the jobs that tend to draw the allowance down. A short question draws less than “read this inbox and draft replies,” but the Usage screen is still the record. If a third-party page quotes a token cost per message, that figure is not in Meta’s help.
If the numbers do not match
- You expected 500 million and you have not subscribed. That figure is the Power plan, not the free plan.
- You redeemed a code and the balance did not jump. Muse may have rejected the code. A full code, an ineligible account, or a change on Muse’s side can mean no tokens. Check the message Muse showed at redeem time.
- Someone said the reward was a different amount. Use the offer printed on this site, and remember Muse still has to accept the redemption.
- The week reset and the balance looks low again. Paid allowances are weekly. They are not a balance you bank forever. Confirm the timing in Usage rather than assuming a calendar day.
- Upgrade is missing. Muse subscriptions are in limited testing and are not sold everywhere. If your account cannot subscribe, the free limit is what you have.
Questions about tokens
Does the free plan use tokens too?
It uses a limit. Meta describes that limit without publishing a token count for it. Paid plans are the ones with published weekly token numbers.
Can I buy tokens one at a time?
Meta’s published options are the monthly Power and Maximum plans, each with a weekly allowance. There is no separate token shop in the help articles.
Do unused weekly tokens roll over?
Meta’s help describes a weekly allowance. It does not say unused tokens carry into the next week. Check Usage if you need the rule your account is on.
Does this site’s copy counter spend tokens?
No. The copy count is how many times the copy button was pressed. It is not a redemption and it does not spend your allowance.
Are plan tokens the same in every country?
Meta says benefits and availability may vary by region and account. The figures above are what the help article lists. Your upgrade screen is the final list.
