Muse does have an official Android app. Meta’s download page calls it the free Muse app for iPhone and Android, and it links to Google Play from that page. The account, the age rule, and the country rule are the same as everywhere else: a Meta account, 18 or older, and currently the US and Canada.
Search results for “Muse” on Google Play also show unrelated apps. Install fromMeta’s download page and use the button labeled Get it on Google Play. That is the path Meta publishes. This guide does not link a random package name.
What has to be true first
- You are in a country Muse serves. Meta’s Muse page says that is the US and Canada, with no date for other countries.
- You are 18 or the age of majority where you live.
- You can sign in to a Meta account, or create one with Facebook, Instagram, email, or a phone number.
An invite code from this site is something you try after you are inside Muse. It does not make the Play Store show an app that your region cannot install, and it does not replace the Meta account.
Install and sign in
- On the Android phone, open ai.meta.com/muse/download.
- Tap Get it on Google Play. Confirm the listing is Muse from Meta before you install.
- Install the app and open it.
- Sign in with your Meta account. The app should open on the Chat tab.
- Type one specific job. Say what Muse should not do, such as sending a message.
Meta’s getting-started guide says you can send a follow-up without waiting, and without repeating the whole context. For a second topic, use the menu in the top left, then the pencil-and-note icon, to open a side chat.
Meta’s download page also says the mobile app can keep working on a task after you close it. Approval still sits with you. Meta’s business page says nothing publishes, sends, or spends without that approval.
Check usage on Android
Free Muse has a usage limit, and Meta does not publish the free number. On the phone: Menu in the top left, then Settings, then Upgrade under Usage if you want a paid plan. That path is inSubscribe to Muse. A plan bought in the Android app is managed later from that same purchase, not from an iPhone or a different Google account.
If Android will not cooperate
- Play Store search shows several Muse apps. Back out. Start again from Meta’s download page so the button opens the listing Meta intends.
- The Meta AI app is what you installed. That is Meta’s chatbot, not this agent. Muse has its own app and its own site at muse.ai.
- The listing is missing. Check the country and age rules before you assume the phone is broken. Muse is in limited testing and is not in every Play Store.
- Chat stops. Open Settings and look at Usage. The free limit may be used up. Waiting for the refresh is a real option. So is upgrading.
- A connector asks for access you do not want. Decline it. You can use Muse for ordinary chat without connecting email or anything else.
Questions about Android
Is there a minimum Android version?
Meta’s download page confirms the Android app and the Play Store button. It does not publish a minimum Android version on that page. If Play Store blocks the install, the reason shown there is the one to trust.
Can I use the browser instead?
Yes. Sign in at muse.ai with the same Meta account. The Chat tab works there too.
Will a code install the app for me?
No. Install first, sign in, then redeem. The redeem steps are in how to redeem a code.
Does this site collect my Google password?
No. Sign-in happens with Meta. This directory never asks for a Muse, Google, or Meta password.
